Initial Thoughts:

I have loved Bob Odenkrik for a long time since I first saw him in "Breaking Bad" (watch that and then watch "Better Call Saul" he's amazing in it!), so when I saw he was going to be in this I was certain I'd see it, the fact that it got decent reviews just sweetened the deal.

Main Points:

I never thought I would see Odenkirk in an action movie but here we are! I turned to my wife after 5 minutes and whispered "I love this already!" and it just got better. As usual not going through the plot (not that there's much there), the movie does what it needs to do, doesn't take itself seriously and is just a ton of fun.

The movie certainly has some extreme violence/gore, so I'll say right away please don't let your kids watch this. ages 18+. There is a scene in the movie where he says to himself "I hope these guys like hospital food" and you know then that it is on!

I think the movie got me in just the right time/mood, after the end of our 2nd lockdown (theatres closed for over a month) I was ready to see a movie and I didn't want something deep and serious, this was exactly what I needed.

Odenkirk shines here and has a great mixture of fun/serious/action and I've got to say I think this is the most fun I've seen Christopher Lloyd have in a movie in a REALLY long time, he's really good here too. Things turn out as you would suspect but it doesn't matter, I quickly found myself cheering for him and laughing at all the right places.

Final Thoughts:

I wouldn't normally give a movie like this such a high rating but as I said it knows what it is and just has lots of fun, so I give it a solid 8 out of 10. I don't see anyone winning any awards but who cares! I would love to see a sequel if they could come up with a good idea but if not I am happy with this one. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a light popcorn-fare movie and doesn't mind some violence/gore, you will be in a better mood after you leave. If that wasn't enough there is a post-credit scene, so stick around for that.
