Details from IMDB:
I hadn't planned to see this in theatres. Since I've gotten a Smart 4K TV (LG if you want to know the brand and I'd recommend it) I am more inclined to get digital copies of movies and watch them home than ever before. I had intended to watch this at home but my Mom wanted to go (she's 74 and I think just sick of being inside more than anything), so I took her.
I'll try to make this review positive but really I have to say right away this movie makes little to no sense. The people/plot just seem to get in the way of Godzilla VS Kong showdowns (and there are more than 1 at least!). I do kind of wish now I had seen this in IMAX or at least 3D, it would have enhanced the experience.
I actually feel sorry for the actors in this, though not so much Millie Bobby Brown (from "Stranger Things") who is young and just having fun in her career, everyone else this seems like a low-point in their careers.
I will say it does have some good special effects and action scenes. There is also you could say 2 surprises (one for sure) that I won't spoil and that I did enjoy. I don't know if there are end credit scene(s), we didn't stay as I just didn't care.
If you are able to go to movies where you live and either are really bored or LOVE Godzilla (or Kong) that maybe I'd recommend this but most likely there is something better playing to see or there will be in a few months. The best I can give it is 6 out of 10 and that is only because I do enjoy Godzilla and King Kong it was a little fun to watch them fight with good special effects. There is violence here and some blood, so I would say ages 12+, please don't let young children see this. Since this movie is doing well (for COVID times of course) there will probably be more but this should be the end, it almost certainly is for me with these movies.
