Wrath of Man

7.3

The plot follows H, a cold and mysterious character working at a cash truck company responsible for moving hundreds of millions of dollars around Los Angeles each week.

Initial Thoughts:

I enjoy movies directed by Guy Richie (most of them) and I'll admit it is fun to see Jason Statham just let loose and beat the crap out of people in movies (or I'm sure now his stunt double does most of the work) so with not a lot of other choices, we decided to see this in theaters (yes I still do that all the time and think many other people will in the next few months).

Main Points:

The movie doesn't have much of a plot, so I won't bother to discuss it. Basically, it's a revenge flick with plenty of action and maybe one twist/surprise I didn't see coming.

The movie makes an effort to do something different/creative from the usual action flicks and for a few minutes, I appreciated it. Ultimately, though, I thought this was a disappointment for Richie fans. I don't blame Statham, it's a slightly different role for him and he does a good job, it's just light popcorn fare (most of the time) mixed in with some disturbing ideas/scenes.

Final Thoughts:

Due to the subject nature (and violence), I'd say ages 18+, it is restricted for a reason. Please don't let your kids see this, that said I did get some enjoyment from this and give it 7 out of 10. If you're looking for a movie (and can see this a bit cheaper) I'd give it a mild reccomendation.
