No Time to Die

James Bond has left active service. His peace is short-lived when Felix Leiter, an old friend from the CIA, turns up asking for help, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

Initial Thoughts:

I love Daniel Craig as Bond, while I saw all the Pierce Bronson movies, they just cant' hold a candle to the Daniel Craig ones. Suffice it to say like everyone else I was anxiously awaiting this movie (especially with multiple delays it has had) and I saw it the weekend it came out.

Main Points:

One last bit of praise for Craig, this movie cements him (for me and I'm sure millions of other people) as THE James Bond, yeah I said it, better than Connery or anyone else. He is just the way I always imagined Bond should be but enough, moving on.

You can tell that the person that wrote this loves all the Bond movies as it is full of easter eggs and just a fun movie (when it's not really serious). Solid acting all around, great story, excellent action, and a perfect ending for Craig and his spin as Bond.

While I can't speak for the female point of view, I think Bond has come a long way in terms of equality and how the Bond girls appear onscreen. Nomi (Bond's replacement as a 007) is excellent as is Palamo (another agent) and I think they are both shown as excellent agents who can do anything Bond can do and most importantly, they kick ass and are well-written characters.

Final Thoughts:

I decided to make this a non-spoiler review, so it is a quick one. Please don't bring children to this, some sex, plenty of violence and some coarse language, certainly ages 13+. I give this a solid 8.5 out of 10, the 2.5 hours flew by, I could have easily watched more. It grabs you right and the start and never let's go. The best of all of Craig's Bond movies, I'll miss him but I agree it's right to go out on a high note and this is it. I strongly recommend this movie to any Bond fan, one of the only flaws I could say here is that if you haven't seen the other Craig Bond movies, you will not enjoy it as much, otherwise go see it! (If you feel safe doing so of course).
