Initial Thoughts:
I was looking for a documentary to watch on Amazon Prime and as I tend to watch a lot sexual/lifestyle show this one was suggested. It was only 45 minutes and as I didn’t want to miss Geekshow I decided to watch it. I should add, as they came up once when I was getting a tattoo, I’m not in the lifestyle, I am just fascinated by sexuality, especially people who are not vanilla.
Main Points:
This was a good documentary that is unfortunately much too short. I did, however, still enjoy it and found it interesting. They show how swingers are a wide variety of people, some of them are there because of past trauma/relationships while others enjoy the thrill and for some it just fits them much better/they have been doing it for such a long time that they don’t know anything else. I was really impressed that by 2020 there were over 200 swinger clubs in England! Apparently the English are some of the kinkiest people in the world now. I also thought it was wonderful so see people so comfortable with their bodies and friendly with each other.
Final Thoughts:
There is nudity, sexual situation and lots of sexual language but it is carefully edited and doesn’t show penetration. Still though, ages 18+ for sure, please don’t let your kids watch this. I enjoyed it but it should have been twice the length, I was just getting interested in everyone in it (especially the club owner who is still a swinger at 78, good for him!) when it was over. I give it 7 out of 10 and would recommend it anyone who likes the topic and has an open mind, you also will learn a lot if you’re a more vanilla/conservative person.
