Details from IMDB:
Nikki Glaser bares all in a blistering stand-up special about sex, sobriety and getting over her own insecurities. And she won’t spare you the details.

I’ll admit it, I watch lots of standup specials, most of them I don’t review but ultimately that’s a good thing. I leave my reviews for those that stand out and/or I get the time to write about, like now while I’m in a place. Netflix has become the go-to streaming platform for comedy specials and I am enjoying that. It’s nice to know anytime I want to see some standup I can go there. I had heard of Nikki Glaser of course, though I don’t remember seeing any of her standup. More recently on Geekshow Podcast (which you should listen/watch! I have been for about 16 years now) one of the panelists mentioned F-Boy Island and said the best part was her (as she’s the host) so I checked out her special on Netflix.
Main Points:
Here’s some more honesty from me, I love sex (like most people, though I wish I had a more recent survey) and I have always been fascinated with it. I think it’s an amazing part of being human and I am always in the mood to hear about it, especially if it’s discussed honestly and in an entertaining way, Nikki does both those things fantastically. I admire her for being so forthright about her own sexuality and being able to make light of it and the sex-obsessed culture of North America (and I’d argue much of the world) continues to embrace. She is very courageous to expose so much of her personal life and her sexual activities/desires/kinks and I applaud her for it.
All that said I’m not going to get into every detail here, she gets quite graphic and while I loved it, I wouldn’t want a 10-year-old to learn about much of the activities/terms she discusses from my review. I will say that despite all the humor, she addresses many important issues that women face when they have sex with men. I think I’ve gotten tremendously better in my thinking/attitude, being married will often do that, but I know I can always improve and that’s it’s important to remember that men and women usually think about sex very differently and it’s important to think before you speak/act on it with a woman.
All of that said she does discuss other topics and as mentioned there are some serious moments. Any great comedian will have some important messages/wisdom they want to discuss/make people aware of and she does that here at all the right times. Women deserve the same rights and privileges as men and it’s a rather sad situation for several places in the world (including several states in the US!). That’s not the case, it is good for her to bring up this important issue.
Final Thoughts:
I was impressed with Nikki Glaser and I have no idea why this only gets 6.2 on IMDB, maybe only a bunch of prudes gave it a rating (or incels) or maybe I love sexual comedy if it’s done right and this certainly was for me. I give it a solid 7.5 out of 10 and would recommend it to any adult who likes to watch jokes about sex. Of course, this is not for kids, ages 19+ due to very graphic content/swearing/coarse language. I’ll be sure to check out her other specials.
